Derin is the owner of a mining company, and entitled Lord of Gûnneg, the mining city underneath the great Dwarven kingdom of Dûr Morthár. When one of his miners discovers yet another system of caverns underneat Dûr Morthár. This caverns, unlike Gûnneg was when it was discovered, is not uninhabited. An entire civilisation lives in the deep places of the world. This civilizations turn out to be the descendants of the Borderadians. They speak the language of the Dark Lord Firínal, Firish and call themselves Darnaryttii. After the name they gave their city: Darnarytt. While the first contact was relatively peaceful it would not last. The Borderdians migrated to the caverns underneath Dûr Morthár to eventually take the city. And thats what soon happens. The Morthári Army stands no chance against the Borderadians, quickly dubbed to "Morthárians" by the Dûr Morthári's themselves. Derin, locking him and his people to safety in his fortified stronghold, is able to survive the first blows, but will it last?
